Mauritius has long been associated with luxury holidays, ideal for couples & families alike. It's amazing crystal clear waters are great for marine activity with scuba & snorkelling a must. Getting in there takes around 11 hours when flying direct however indirect via Dubai or France makes regional departures very possible. All of the hotels have world class dining options and better still try some Takamaka Rum to end the night!!
Golf on the island is very accesible with some of the hotels offering golf on site, sometimes you will not need to leave the resort!! However we can include golf at other courses locally and include round trip transfers in the overall price.
For this itinerary we have chosen the Constance hotel in the area of Belle Mare on the East Coast of the island.
Day 1 - Private transfer to Constance Belle Mare Plage where you will reside for 7 nights on an all-inclusive basis. Aclimatise and take the rest of the day at leisure.
Day 2 - Today our first golfing outing will be 18 holes with buggies included on the Legend Golf Course located on site. Drinks will be served afterwards in the Deer Hunter Bar. Dinner at Leisure.
Day 3 - Take an exciting catamaran adventure to capture the splashing beauty of the eastern coastline of Mauritius while gliding along the warm waters of the Indian Ocean. Setting out from a seaside village, this epic voyage will first take you to the longest river on the island, on which sits a beautiful natural waterfall, then to a white sandy islet inside the lagoon. This is a full day out with BBQ served on-board.
Day 4 - Our second golfing day will involve 18 holes on the challenging Links course, this is also on site at the hotel. Drinks will served afterwards in the Deer Hunter Bar. Dinner at Leisure.
Day 5 -Today we will take a stroll in to the past and explore the rich and diverse cultural heritage of the island, from the 18th century Botanical Gardens in Pamplemousses to the neighbouring museum delving into the history of sugar production in Mauritius. The tour includes ample opportunity for lunch as well as leisurely sightseeing and shopping at a trendy waterfront precinct in Port Louis.
Day 6 - Golf today will be played away from the resort at a course that has held the Mauritius Open recently. The Ernie Els designed Anahita provides a challenging par-72 lay out. It has large fairways and five sets of tees. Built to USGA standards, the six stunning ocean front holes culminate in a final shot that is among the most spectacular in the world.
Day 7 - Find a good book and relax by the pool - tonight we have a special farewell dinner to look forward to.
Day 8 - Before we go the airport for the overnight flight those who wish to can play golf at either the Links or The Legends course on site.
